ABOUT US
Guerra is a family-owned business that has developed an operating system based on continuous improvement and transformation with the purpose of always placing the customer at the center of the decision making process. At Guerra, we are proud of our ability to design and manufacture all our products in-house. This allows us to control the quality of our machinery first hand and provide the best service to our customers through an agile and vertically integrated process.
OUR HISTORY
Ricardo González and Benigno Sánchez, founded Guerra in a small garage in Vila de Cruces. Galicia, in northwestern Spain, starting with the installation of the first home electric mini power plants in the neighboring towns.
In this year both founders built their family home and a 300m2 workshop also in Vila de Cruces. From this moment on, Ricardo and Benigno started manufacturing agricultural machinery that required more complex mechanics. This was the beginning of what Industrias Guerra is today.
With the incorporation of Román Sánchez, Benigno's son, and in view of the new needs that customers in the forestry and marine sectors in the region were bringing into their offices, Guerra began to design and manufacture our first lifting cranes.
This year, due to the growing demand from their customers, Guerra moved our workshop to a new, larger, factory with an area of 1,100m2, that was built specifically for the manufacture of cranes and the rest of the portfolio products.
Guerra developed the first trailers with hydraulic traction while providing integral machinery solutions to the timber logging sector. Also, the marine sector in northwestern Spain’s Galician estuaries undergoes a remarkable revolution in productivity, and there is an exponential increase in the demand for cranes designed for the aquaculture sector.
Guerra begins an expansion and internalization venture, opening business channels with countries such as Argentina, Chile, and Colombia.
Ricardo Sánchez joins the company, the third generation of Guerras to do so. The internationalization effort in both sectors (marine and forest) experiences a great boost, especially in Southeast Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, and Thailand.
Guerra acquires two new production plants to meet growing demand. The plant in Silleda is entirely dedicated to CNC machining parts, while the plant in Oirós is dedicated to the assembly of forestry equipment.
Guerra expands our facilities again to respond to the growing demand of our products with a new production plant in our two main sectors: marine and forestry.
