This October, the delivery of the new ‘PRION’ vessel was formalized, an innovative freezer trawler built by Nodosa Shipyard for Petrel Fishing Company Ltd, featuring three foldable cranes from the M series by Industrias Guerra.
It is the most modern freezer trawler built in Spain, which will operate in the Falkland Islands. The ‘PRION’ is a vessel of nearly 2500 GT, 85 meters in length, and 14 meters in beam, designed to optimize energy efficiency and environmental respect. This vessel also incorporates advanced technologies that enhance the safety and comfort of the crew.
The cranes installed on the ‘PRION’ represent the latest in marine technology. The M330.24A5 and the two M720.24A3 are designed to offer maximum efficiency and safety in loading and unloading operations. Equipped with high-capacity winches (2300 kg and 3100 kg respectively) and radio control systems, these cranes allow complex maneuvers to be carried out quickly and safely. Additionally, they feature metallized cylinders and extensions, ensuring greater durability and resistance in adverse maritime conditions.
Industrias Guerra’s participation in the ‘PRION’ project is a testament to their ability to develop equipment that meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The installed cranes not only improve the vessel’s operability but also contribute to reducing environmental impact thanks to their optimized design and high-durability materials.
