Jacobo Aboal, the Axencia Galega da Industria Forestal (XERA), visited the facilities of Industrias Guerra in Vila de Cruces (Pontevedra) this morning, on the occasion of the resolution of the grants from the Xunta de Galicia dedicated to investment in forest technologies, processing, mobilization, and marketing of products in this sector.
The meeting positions Industrias Guerra as a key player to respond to the high demand for machinery that this financial aids will generate in the sector. This is possible thanks to the growth strategy that the company has implemented in recent years, which includes the inauguration of the new industrial plant in Silleda, the expansion of its production capacities, the digitization of processes, and its stock control system. All of this with the aim of efficiently and satisfactorily meeting the demands of the national and international market.
Public and private investment has mobilized around 48 million euros for these grants, that will benefit 150 small and medium-sized companies in the Galician community dedicated to the forest industry and contract sector. With this, the Xunta de Galicia seeks to consolidate the sector and promote the implementation of new technologies that allow the advancement of the timber industry throughout the entire production chain.
This line of grants will strengthen Industrias Guerra’s position on a global scale due to its production capacities, establishing it as a reference for the forest industry, with presence in more than 40 countries across five continents. Currently, with an annual turnover of 18 million euros and an export rate exceeding 60%, Industrias Guerra is a key player in the Galician business sector.
